This brochure was a 2 color project, black and a spot color of choice. I created a brochure of the game, Persona 5, because I'm a fan of the game, but also because the color scheme for the game is essentially red and black as well. So the intent behind this brochure was to promote the game and also showcase what the game's about and who the characters are.
Above is the sketch of how I wanted the brochure to be folded and how information and images would be laid out. Color was also thought out as to where the spot color would be used.
Overall, the brochure promoted the game when first looking at the front and back, not opened. Upon opening, the 2 inside flaps reveal a quick summary of what the game is about. And upon opening the whole brochure to look at the inside, the middle reveals the difference in gameplay between regular school life in Tokyo and the second life as a "Phantom Thief." On the side of the inside flaps reveals all 8 of the main cast of characters the player meets in the game.
The brochure was created with the game in mind. The design elements I created are based off on the in-game UI design. So the dialogue boxes used to introduce the viewer to the characters is based on the dialogue boxes that the characters say in-game. The small little design details like the star or the geometric shape at the corner of the box was also incorporated into this brochure as well. The headers made for this brochure also mimic the game's menu system. I created the headers in Adobe Illustrator. The images were all converted to monochromatic in Photoshop. The dialogue boxes and other design elements were all created in Illustrator. The final layouts were all assembled in InDesign. A challenging project as it involved multiple Adobe programs, but very pleasurable seeing the overall brochure come together.
